Who We Are

       The mission of the SMSH Alumni Association (SMSHAA) is to connect, inform and serve South Miami Senior High (SMSH) school , its diverse alumni and friends through strong leadership, effective communication, and contributions to SMSH in support of education and its community. 

SMSHAA is governed by a Board of Directors, who play a significant role in the development and management of its economic resources. Through the involvement of the Directors and their contribution of time, leadership and financial resources, the mission of the SMSHAA is advanced. 

     All SMSHAA members and SMSH Alumni Cobras are invited to join us in helping to give back to our alma mater! We are a Florida, not-for-profit organization with tax-exemption status through the IRS 501 (c) (3). We accept all forms of resources, such as money donations, volunteering your time and expertise, sponsorships, gifts, equipment, furniture, cars, boats, computers, tablets, laptops, and school supplies (pencils, pens, paper, etc.). Those resources that cannot be given directly to the school will be converted to funds that can be given back to the school. 

Our vision is to empower the proverbial village to help develop outstanding SMSH students, ​enshrine the traditions that cultivate pride in our beloved Cobra Country, and ​establish an endowed charitable trust fund so that SMSH Alumni Association Inc. (SMSHAA) can continue to exist in perpetuity!
